A is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal that
can be read by an observer or an instrument.
For example, a thermocouple converts the temperature to an output voltage that can
be read by a voltmeter.
is a device that converts an optical image into an electrical signal.

There are two kind of camera sensors most used:
Charge-coupled devices (CCDs) are silicon-based integrated circuits consisting of a
dense matrix of photodiodes that operate by converting light energy in the form of
photons into an electronic charge.
Electrons generated by the interaction of photons with silicon atoms are stored in a
potential well and can subsequently be transferred across the chip through
registers and output to an amplifier.
CMOS circuits use a combination of p-type and n-type metaloxidesemiconductor field-
effect transistors (MOSFETs) to implement logic gates and other digital circuits
found in computers, telecommunications equipment, etc.

Color filter
not contain only pixels , or not only contain few sensors . In
new cameras , thousand or millions of pixels found in small chips , but we prefer to
talk about how the color can take apart in our cameras . we know that each pixel
sensor give us voltage value or in another description it give us digital value 1,0
these numbers called bits . But how these bits describe spectrum colors (red, green,
blue) so lets talk briefly about the way to detect these colors(Color filters).
So Color filters filter the light by the range of wavelengths, so that the filtered
intensities include information about the color of light, in this way can detect
different colors around us using camera(small sensor and color filter)
