Abstract and Figures

The quality of life is affected by many factors, which can be combined according to the similar attributes into some dimensions. A major impact on quality of life has a feeling of security. The quality of life is directly related to the development of regions that can be examined through subjective and objective indicators as well as the security situation. The paper is going to deal with selected socio-economic indicators of regional development that directly affect the safety of citizens, and therefore their quality of life. There will be evaluated primary socio-economic indicators of regional development such as regional gross domestic product, the level of economic activity, the rate of regional employment and unemployment, the average regional wages. Trough comparison of the above indicators can be seen if the qualities of life in Slovak regions have been positive and what is the position of regions in terms of development. Dendrograms in Regional Socio-Economic Analysis: Interpretation and Verification

Interest in regional socio-economic analysis has grown in the last decade. Various tools are used to visualize its results. One of them is the dendrogram. However, there is no generalization of the experience of using dendrograms to display the sequence of combining regions into socio-economic clusters in world science. Therefore, the goal of our study was to generalize such experience with an emphasis on the interpretation and verification of dendrograms. Based on eight bibliographic databases using a special semantic search algorithm, more than eighty journal articles published around the world in the last two decades have been identified. These articles contain one hundred and thirty dendrograms. Their analysis showed that the main purpose of tree diagrams is to fix the sequence of combining regions into clusters and to substantiate the number of clusters. Two new types of interpretation of dendrograms are proposed - the allocation of nuclei in clusters and the determination of the level of socio-economic cohesion of clusters. To test the validity of determining the number of clusters, the author's algorithm for identifying the optimal clustering option is proposed, based on the idea of the complexity of the tree in graph theory. The ten main problems of visualizing the results of regional socio-economic analysis using dendrograms are listed. © 2021 National Research Nuclear University. All rights reserved.

El propósito de esta investigación es examinar el efecto educativo del uso de los medios visuales en el sistema educativo. Para lograr este objetivo, se consultó la opinión de los profesores. Por esta razón, junto con las variables demográficas de los profesores que trabajan en las escuelas de secundaria, se investigaron los efectos de los medios visuales en la educación y la formación en el norte de Chipre. En esta investigación se utilizó el método de encuesta comúnmente utilizado para describir la situación actual y para recoger la colección de datos “El efecto educativo del uso de los medios visuales por parte de los profesores”. Se han encontrado diferencias significativas para los temas “La alfabetización audiovisual ha aislado a los estudiantes del enfoque educativo de ensueño”, “No encuentro los medios visuales adecuados para los estudiantes” y “El enfoque educativo tradicional ha terminado con los medios visuales”. Como resultado, los profesores consideran que la educación impartida a través de los medios visuales es más concreta, pero que la tecnología visual no está suficientemente integrada en el sistema educativo actual.

The paper analyzes the socio-economic development of the regions dynamics level of the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation for the period from 2018 to 2021. The basis of the study was the Federal State Statistics Service for monitoring the socio-economic situation in the regions of the Russian Federation. The following indicators are considered: average monthly nominal accrued wages of employees (rubles) per year, per capita monetary income of the population (rubles) on average per year, labor force (thousand people) on average per year, number of unemployed (thousand people) on average per year, the volume of investments in fixed assets (million rubles) per year, retail trade turnover (million rubles) per year, goods of own production were shipped, works and services performed on their own per year (excluding VAT, excises and similar mandatory payments) million rubles. The methodology used includes: bringing monetary indicators for the period under review to the prices of 2021 in accordance with the deflator indices of the gross domestic product of the Russian Federation; reduction of the original set of non-orthogonal variables using factor analysis to a small-sized orthogonal factor space; determination of the Russian Federation federal districts centroids by the center of mass method for each year of the period under review; analysis of the Siberian Federal District internal structure dynamics and its position.

Modern times bring with them modern approaches to the perception of our problems. The perception of security in cities is no exception. The establishment of general indicators is needed to improve the evaluation and comparison of sites. These security indicators can be found in the six basic characteristics that make up a Smart City. This article contains a proposal for an application and a procedure for assessing the impact of projects on the security of citizens. The present proposal uses a system approach method using some specificities of the ISO 31000 standard. The principle of the proposal is that the probability of risk is a priority and we perceive the consequence as the expected increase and decrease in the level of security in cities.

The search for meaningful definitions and ways to measure and describe the quality of life (QOL) is the focus of this paper. It is argued that planners need to pay close attention to the concept of QOL in order to assess the effects of plans and projects on places and lives of all citizens. The linkages between QOL and the concept of sustainability are explored. A review of a wide variety of literature on QOL is presented and a discussion of the relationships between QOL and the public good. An overview and critique of the variety of indicators used to measure QOL is offered with example of specific projects. A number of case studies are reviewed and particular attention is placed on a set of six recent initiatives in Canada to define and measure QOL. A detailed case study on the perceived QOL of residents in three towns near to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is presented as part of a larger project on the effects of tourism on the QOL of residents in small communities near to international tourist resorts. A description of the use of multi-criteria techniques for analyzing data on QOL is presented as part of the Puerto Vallarta project.
