The Somatizing Patient: An Indian Experience
Abstract
A brief summary of body-mind belief in Hindu India, with mention of a Hindi psychosomatic scale and indigenous treatment modalities. Reference is made to the cultural basis for somatization in the population discussed, along with a short clinical illustration.
