In this paper, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been addressed and it is argued that the use and development of ICT is essential for the construction industry, particularly in the area of adoption of standards. Sustainable construction has been chosen as the area of discussion with special focus on the LEED rating system. A case study has been investigated to study the application of the LEED rating system starting at project initiation to identify ICT deficiencies that arose during the period. This is ongoing research and only preliminary findings have been presented here. A subjective analysis has been conducted on the case from which several points of discussion have come up.
