Abstract

CSEM's 2016 catalog of technologies for the cuffless monitoring of Blood Pressure 2016. Based on either Pulse Wave Velocity technologies, or Pulse Wave Analayis technologies, different form factors are presented: - Smart textiles for 24/7 ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring - Smart patches for 24/7 ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring - Smartwatches for 24/7 ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring - Smartwatches for cuffless monitoring of Blood Pressure during sleep - Smartphone cameras for ambulatory monitoring of Blood Pressure - Pulse Oximeter signal re-analysis for the continuous monitoring of Blood Pressure trends during anesthesia
Cuffless blood pressure monitoring
CSEM catalog of technologies
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES
APPLICATIONS
CSEM Chest PWV technology relies on the principle of pulse wave velocity (PWV):
estimates of Blood Pressure (BP) are obtained from proprietary measurements
of the transit time of arterial pulses travelling from the ascending aorta towards
the vasculature of the upper-thoracic skin.
SCIENCE
Example of performance of CSEM
Chest PWV technology to estimate
mean BP when compared to
invasive arterial line measurements
performed on an anesthetized patient.
VALIDATION
Smart textiles for 24/7
ambulatory BP monitoring
Smart patches for 24/7
ambulatory BP monitoring
Features
Requires measurement of ECG,
bioimpedance and PPG at the chest
Measures beat-to-beat central pulse
transit time values
Estimates beat-to-beat Mean Blood
Pressure values, after calibration

CSEM OBPMTM technology relies on the principle of pulse wave analysis (PWA):
estimates of Blood Pressure (BP) are obtained via a CSEM-proprietary analysis
of arterial pulsatility patterns at body locations such as the wrist or the fingertip.
SCIENCE
Example of performance of CSEM
OBPMTM technology to estimate
systolic BP when compared to
invasive arterial line measurements
performed on an anesthetized patient.
VALIDATION
Features
Requires measurement of arterial
