The relation between multiple intelligences and happiness among Princess Alia University College students

Abstract

The current study mainly targeted at revealing the relation between multiple intelligences and happiness among Princess Alia University College students. In order to realize the goal of the study, a sample of (272) students were chosen from the bachelor’s degree stage at Princess Alia University College in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The researchers used the scale of Multiple Intelligences developed by Al-Rababa’a, Al-Zu’bi and Al-Sharairi (2009) and the scale of Happiness developed by Al-Minshawi (2008). The results indicated that Interpersonal Intelligence was the prevalent intelligence, followed by the Intrapersonal Intelligence, and in the last rank came the Natural Intelligence while Musical Intelligence took the rank before the last. The results also signified that Happiness Level among the sample of the study was average. The study revealed a positive correlation at (a = 0.05) between Happiness and the (Linguistic, Logical- Mathematical, Spatial, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal and Natural) Intelligences. The study recommended the necessity of attending Multiple Intelligences and Happiness.
