Eyewitness or False Witness? Two Lives of Metropolitan Filipp of Moscow

This study explores the relationship between the two earliest written lives of Metropolitan Filipp, the sixteenth-century Russian religious leader who suffered martyrdom for publicly upbraiding Ivan IV.
