Abstract
M.S. Barash. Reconstruction of Quaternary ocean paleotemperatures by means of planktonic foraminifera
The method of paleotemperature reconstruction based on ratio of planktonic foraminifera species in the sediments sinks kinds is described and validated. Actualistic approach is used, i.e. correlation of quantitative species distributions in recent sediments with temperatures of the surface layer of the ocean waters. In the study of Quaternary sediments the inverse problem of the paleotemperature reconstruction by species ratio is solved.
Описан и обоснован метод реконструкции палеотемператур по соотношению в осадке раковин видов планктонных фораминифер. Использован актуалистический подход - связь количественного распределения видов в современных осадках с температурами поверхностного слоя вод океана. При исследовании четвертичных отложений решается обратная задача реконструкция палеотемператур по соотношению видов.
