New Records and Notes on Some Spiders (Araneae: Lycosidae, Salticidae, Theridiidae) from Turkey

Two species, Pardosa pertinax von Helversen, 2000 and Simitidion agaricographum (Levy & Amitai, 1982), are reported from Turkey for the first time. A new Turkish locality is presented for Euophrys sulphurea (L. Koch, 1867). In the lycosid Pardosa atomaria (C. L. Koch, 1847), a variability of receptacle shape was reported. A lycosid Arctosa tbilisiensis Mcheidze, 1946 was proved to be formerly ... [Show full abstract] confused with Arctosa lutetiana (Simon, 1876); the latter species thus has to be deleted from the check list of Turkish spiders. A new species of jumping spider, Pseudomogrus dumosus n. sp. (♂♀), from Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) is diagnosed, illustrated, and described. Comparative illustrations of the holotype of Pseudomogrus algarvensis (Logunov & Marusik, 2003) are also provided.

Systematics of Marengo nitida Simon, 1900 is discussed and M. rattotensis new species is described. The female of M. nitida is described for the first time. M. rattotensis is diagnosed by the unique shape of its retrolateral tibial apophysis. M. nitida can be separated from other Marengo spp. by the rounded shape of its opisthosoma, and males by the characteristic retrolateral tibial apophysis. ...
