The paper attempts a simultaneous assessment of Rorty's philosophy and some of its recent interpretations by Czech philosophers. Four of such interpretations are assessed and challenged: Rorty as. in turn, an idealist, a subjectivist, an eliminative materialist, and a non-metaphysical realist or naturalist.
