Giampiero Moretti was born in Rome in 1955. He earned his law degree in 1977 and a degree in philosophy in 1980 from La Sapienza University in Rome. His research is mainly focused on German romanticism (several books as well as translations of works), and on the philosophy of Heidegger (books and articles). He is currently working on a book dealing with the relationship between aesthetics and literature, beginning with the concept of ‘image.’
