Four Lectotypus: Nephopteryx pseudoflorella Schmidt, 1933, Nephopteryx anerastica Snellen, [1880] 1892, Crambus bolivarellus Schmidt, 1930 and Hylophila prasinana var. hispanica Fernández, 1931, are designated. Eucosma cana (Haworth, 1811) and Cydia blackmoreana (Walsingham, 1903) are mentioned from the Canary Island for the first time. The presence in the Canary Island of Pyralis manihotalis Guenée, 1854, is confirmed. A new synonymy of Hylophila prasinana var. hispanica Fernández, 1931, syn. n. of Pseudoips prasinana (Linnaeus, 1758), is designed. Five new combinations: Pima leucomixtella (Ragonot, 1887), comb. n., Pima pempeliella (Zerny, 1936), comb. n., Pima milka (Roesler, 1990), comb. n., Pima leucoloma (Herrich-Schäffer, 1855), comb. n., Asalebria (Praesalebria) pseudoflorella (Schmidt, 1934), com. n., are established.

New faunistic data of interest about the genera Agonopterix Hübner, [1825] 1816, and Depressaria Haworth, 1811, in the Iberian peninsula and the Balearic islands (Lepidoptera: De-pressariidae, Depressariinae). The authors announce new sightings of 28 species in total from the Depressariidae family (genera Agonopterix and Depressaria) which tells us more of their distribution area in the Iberian peninsula and the Balearic islands. Two of them-Agonopterix conterminella (Zeller, 1839) and Agonopterix putridella (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775)-are new to the Iberian peninsula, and three-Agonopterix rutana (Fabricius, 1794), Depressaria pseudobadiella Nel, 2011, and Depressaria discipunctella Herrich-Schäffer, 1865-have been found for the first time in the Balearic islands. Nine new species have been found in Catalonia. Resum.
... Corley (2002) mentions a specimen without signum from Setúbal, Portugal in MNHN which was considered to be a possible aberration of A. mendesi Corley, 2002. As the signum is not known to be absent in any other Agonopterix species, it is extremely probable that this specimen belongs to A. carduncelli sp. ...

The species Depressariaalbarracinella Corley, sp. n., Agonopterixcarduncelli Corley, sp. n. and Agonopterixpseudoferulae Buchner & Junnilainen, sp. n. and the subspecies DepressariasaharaeGastón & Vivesssp.tabelli Buchner, ssp. n. are described. Depressariaalbarracinella was first found in Spain in 1969 and recognised as apparently new but the specimens in NHMUK have remained undescribed. Additional Spanish material has been located in ZMUC and other collections and three specimens have been found from Greece. Agonopterixcarduncelli. A single male of an unidentified Agonopterix of the pallorella group was found in Algarve, Portugal in 2010. A search for larvae in March 2011 was successful and one male and one female were reared from Carthamuscaeruleus. Additional specimens of the new species have been located in collections from Spain, Greece and Morocco. Agonopterixpseudoferulae. A specimen from Greece with the name Agonopterixferulae (Zeller, 1847) found in the Klimesch collection in ZSM had forewing markings which suggested that it might be a different species. Further specimens from Italy and Greece have been examined, among them two reared from Elaeoselinumasclepium (Apiaceae). Both genitalia and barcode show that this is an undescribed species. Depressariasaharae Gastón & Vives, 2017 was described very recently (Gastón and Vives 2017) from northern Spain with a brief description, and figures of two males and male genitalia. Here the new species is redescribed, and additional data on distribution and relationships of the new species added. The opportunity is also taken to show that Canary Islands specimens with the same male genitalia should be treated as a new subspecies D.saharaessp.tabelli Buchner, ssp. n.
