Two species and a subgenus of the marine prosobranchs (Mollusca: Gastropoda) news of the Gulf of Mexico
Abstract
Res um en Se describen un subgenero y una especie nuevos del genero Turbo asf como una espe-cie nueva del genero Prunum, colectadas en el Golfo de Mexico. Turbo (Emilioturbo subg. n.) angelvaldesi esp. n. se distingue por la escultura de su operculo y su radula, mientras que Prunum aguayoi esp. n. es una marginela de tamaiio grande y de forma oblonga lance-olada. Abstract A new subgenus and a new species of the genus Turbo and a new species of the genus Pru-n.um from the Gulf of Mexico are described. Turbo (Emilioturbo n. subg.) angelvaldesi n. sp. is caracterized by its sculptured opercula and radula, and Prunum aguayoi n. sp. is a large oblong lanceolated marginellid.
