Car design and layout of observation elevators

For building architects, Mitsubishi Electric offers possibilities for designing observation elevators, including four basic layout schemes and six car designs. The appearance of the elevator shaft and the car design constitute the characteristic design elements, and the completed elevator serves as an integral visual component in the interior or exterior of the building. The four basic layout schemes are: 1. Indoor open models. 2. Indoor enclosed models. 3. Outdoor open models. 4. Outdoor enclosed models. This article reports on the features and installation details of observation elevators of each of the above layout schemes, introduces various car designs, and guides the reader through the process of planning an elevator installation.

In recent years, clutches have been used to create multi-mode power-split hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Designing an HEV for optimal performance is computationally intensive because of the enormous design space. For single planetary gear (PG) or a double-PG hybrid powertrains, the design with the best fuel economy and launching performance can be identified through exhaustive search. ... [Show full abstract] Exhaustive search for a hybrid powertrain with 3PGs is computationally expensive, because of the astronomical number of design candidates. To address the design problem with extremely large design space, a rapid structure optimization method is proposed, which is based on combining different operating modes. A case study compares several different schemes against the results of the exhaustive search. The results show that the proposed mode combination method can identify almost 90% of the best designs. The proposed method shows great potential when applied to hybrid systems with three or more PGs.

Since norm power constraint at the relay node does not restrict the output power at each antenna element in designing the relay transceiver, we consider maximum eigenvalue constraint (MVC) which imposes a ... [Show full abstract] limit on the peak power of the output. To this end, we first derive the optimal structure of the relay transceiver under the MVC. Then, by introducing an upper bound of the mean-squared error which makes the problem tractable, we provide a closed-form relay transceiver design with the MVC. From simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed relay transceiver technique demonstrates a significant performance improvement compared to conventional schemes.

Design engineers can thereby avoid the detail understanding of signal integrity enhancement techniques by designing the equalization and de-emphasizing the circuitry to eliminate the jitter caused by long FR4 traces.

Several techniques are derived and employed in order to quantify and implement these principles and rules in the format of a software framework. At this stage, our framework divides the task of design into three main modules: layout of magazine cover elements, choice of color for masthead and cover lines, and typography of cover lines.
