Abstract

Some of the factors that need to be considered by management for team building are discussed. Using traditional approach for telling employees how to do each task in details can turn employees into non-thinking people and prevent the utilization of human resources to their full potential. This approach can train the employees for specific task, but without the ability of independent thought. Traditional work groups are developed to perform specific task instead of the goals of the team, which need to be changed. High-performance organizations are using their human resources to their maximum potential by considering them as key components of organization. Management need to consider their team members as key partners in the organization rather than tools working together for a task. Managers need to devote extra time and efforts to develop effective teams to achieve significant benefits.
