Abstract

The 2009 Sensors Expo, held in Rosemont, IL., US, in June, 2009 focused on overcoming the challenges associated with MEMS devices. The event encouraged participants to examine and find system solutions to the problems and challenges faced by these devices. A seminar was organized on June 8, 2009 that was attended by leading professionals who represented North America, Asia, and Europe. These professionals gathered together, presenting information on partitioning, integrating, creating, and applying MEMS-based systems. The main objective of the session was to examine the critical significance of MEMS system integration issues and problems, along with their existing and potential applications. The three-day conference offered three days of intensive tutorials and 18 tracks covering 55 conference sessions dealing with the challenges of MEMS devices.
