Management of deep virus keratitis (virus kerato endothelitis)

The authors, after a brief examination of numerous and various problems concerning the classification, the etiopathogenesis and the nosology of deep keratitis, present a critical examination of the different and sometimes contrasting therapeutic procedures. Based on personal experience acquired by treating several hundreds of cases during the last 10 yrs, they discuss the therapeutic procedures (medical, surgical, physical), suggesting the principles to choose the suitable therapy according to clinical form, seriousness and stage of illness.

Its critical value at each step is easily determined by Bonferroni’s inequality. We compare Holm’s method with two kinds of single step procedures having critical values determined by Monte Carlo simulation and Bonferroni’s inequality, respectively, in terms of power of the test through the numerical examples.
