The most abundant mineral elements were sodium, potassium and calcium. Sodium was higher in blue crab and mussels, whereas potassium content in crab samples was less or equal to sodium. Calcium contents of snails, shrimp, black mussels, and clams were significantly higher than those found in crab. Zinc, manganese and magnesium contents were higher in shrimp and mussels. Iron values were significantly higher in mussels and claims, whereas copper was high in mussels.
