Abstract

Low pilling performance is perforce accompanied by reduced mechanical properties and some structural changes in acrylic fibres. Production conditions for Leacril NP 2.2 dtex fibres from Montefibre are described. A mathematical model to describe pilling formation and pill loss from acrylic fibre fabrics is presented.
