... [Show full abstract] subjects were placed in two groups: intervention (n = 24; age = 42.50 ± 11.35 yrs) and control (n = 26; age = 48.77 ± 9.27 yrs). The 12-wk intervention group engaged in gymnastics and relaxation for 15 min·d-1 5 times·wk-1. The statistical findings indicate that the intervention group had significant reductions in TC, LDL (P<0.001), HDL, diastolic blood pressure, and body fat (P<0.05), and waist circumference (P<0.01). The findings support the importance of a workplace based physical activity program in the improvement of cardiovascular risk factors.
