In this paper we present the correct centroid formulae for fuzzy numbers,and justify them from the viewpoint of analytical geometry. [Show full abstract] developed. The notion of consistent consequence on Boolean equation systems was introduced to more effectively reason about such abstraction techniques. Prior work on consistent consequence claimed that this notion can be fully characterised by a sound and complete derivation system, building on rules for logical consequence. Our formalisation of the theory of consistent consequence and the derivation system in the proof assistant Coq reveals that the system is, nonetheless, unsound. We propose a fix for the derivation system and show that the resulting system (system CC) is indeed sound and complete for consistent consequence. Our formalisation of the consistent consequence theory furthermore points at a subtle mistake in the phrasing of its main theorem, and how to correct this.

Por último, haré referencia a la importancia del problema de la afección para la interpretación de la doctrina crítica. Abstract: The Kantian remarks concerning the thing in itself as cause of the sensitive affection are certainly problematic, since they seem to contradict the Critical principle that states the unknowability of things in themselves, and seem to involve, on the other hand, an illegitimate use of the categories. In this paper I shall try to show that —notwithstanding the position of numerous interpreters— such remarks neither contradict the principle of Critical agnosticism nor involve an illegitimate use of the categories, being, at the same time, fully compatible with the fundamental principles of Kant´s “Transcendental Aesthetics”. Finally, I shall comment on the importance of the problem of affection in relation to a correct interpretation of the Critical doctrine.

However, the effect of the armor crest freeboard is still under question. In this study, for the first time, a series of hydraulic model experiments are conducted specifically to investigate how the armor crest freeboard relative to the crown wall ... [Show full abstract] freeboard affects the wave overtopping rate. Experimental results indicate that while the armor crest freeboard lower than the crown wall freeboard is giving larger overtopping, higher armor crest freeboard is reducing the overtopping. However, this reduction is not same as the reduction due to the increase in the crown wall freeboard. The reason may be the porosity of the armor crest. For the first time, a new correction factor is proposed to describe the change in the wave overtopping due to the armor crest freeboard by using experimental results. The correction factor CAc is applied to cover the effect of armor crest freeboard in the predictions of EurOtop (2016). The verification study present that overtopping rate predictions of corrected EurOtop (2016) are more consistent with the measured rate results compared to the predictions of the original formula, if the armor crest freeboard is not equal to the crown wall freeboard.
