The international community, the European Union, encourage to address global ecology problems immediately, e.t. since 2010, the European Commission, by recognising the important role and contribution to improving the quality of environment, each year announces the green capital of Europe-this is the city in which the most favourable conditions for ecological lifestyle are established and which may become an example to other cities. The paper gives an analysis of the change in the concept of an organization, defines a paradigm of a green organization, and formulates the most important features of a green organization. Special attention is devoted to the assessment of specific components of a green organization. With an aim of making an analysis of the concept of a green organization, while refining the characteristic features of a green organization, the methods of comparative analysis and synthesis as well as abstrahation have been applied. New organisational features characterizing their adaptation to the changing environment are formed. Identification of these features, their exclusivity enables to conclude that a new type of the organisation has formed-the green organisation.

Aviation is one of the most severely affected global industries by the COVID-19 pandemic, including passenger traffic, airport workforce, and operational processes: the total number of seats offered by airlines in 2020 decreased by about 50%, the number of passengers fell by about 60%, and this resulted in an estimated 371 billion USD loss in 2020 and 324 billion USD loss in 2021. Aviation industry organisations, including Lithuanian Airports, had to urgently adapt their operations and use the new opportunities to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and maintain a competitive advantage. In order to find out what measures have been taken to stabilise the situation, the empirical evaluation was conducted using methods of case study, statistical data analysis, content analysis and semi-structured interviews. The research results suggest that many obstacles to successful change and adaptation in the aviation sector can be overcome by the ability to respond quickly to changes in the external environment: several recovery scenarios, based on business best practices and examples, prepared in advance, enabled Lithuanian Airports to restore business operations.

The main objective of this article was to identify the characteristics of a school that effectively becomes a learning organization and the need to improve it in the political context of the learning organization. To reveal the theoretical and empirical bases of the article, methods of analysis, synthesis, quantitative research and results processing were applied. The results presuppose that school administration, peer support and favorable infrastructure have a positive impact on the development of personal skills of community members. In this sense, the improvement of learning competence and innovation is identified with openness to the environment, to other communities and a high level of internal communication culture. It is concluded that, schools as fundamental learning organizations to identify themselves and their environment as a team, to develop an intuitive systematic sense (part of the system; we-system), need to drive a clear and effective communication structure, in coherence with the strategic and systemic processes of adequate response to the needs of the community, all of which legitimizes it with social approval and more internal and external supports.

Aviation is one of the most severely affected global industries by the COVID-19 pandemic: the total number of seats offered by airlines in 2020 decreased by about 50%, the number of passengers fell by about 60%, and this result-ed in an estimated 371 billion USD loss. Thus, organizations in the aviation sector had to adapt their activities urgently to the changes in the external environment. This study aims to investigate how a state-owned company can adapt to such an extreme situation. In order to find out what measures have been taken to stabilize the situation, the empirical evaluation was carried out while using methods of case study, statistical data analysis, qualitative content analysis, and semi-structured interviews. The research results suggest that the state enterprise Lithuanian Airports has effectively managed organizational changes during the crisis by adapting strategy and everyday processes. The main factors which have helped the organization to adapt were decisive strategic changes and the ability to think outside the box.

Vykstant demografiniams pokyciams visuomenėje, jie neisvengiamai paveikia ir organizacijų darbuotojus, tai ypac svarbu XXI amžiaus Europos organizacijoms. Straipsnyje analizuojama, kaip ir ką turi daryti organizacijų vadovai, kad darbuotojai jos nepaliktų. Remiantis Lietuvos ir užsienio mokslininkų įžvalgomis sudarytos schemos ir pateikiami veiksniai, kuriuos pasitelkus įgyvendinamos lygios skirtingo amžiaus darbuotojų galimybės, sudarant vienodas karjeros galimybes, užtikrinamas pasidalijimas žiniomis. Nustatyta, kad siuolaikinėje organizacijoje vadovai, siekdami užtikrinti veiklos testinumą, turi pasitelkti skirtingo amžiaus darbuotojus. Pateikti nepagrįsti stereotipai apie vyresnio amžiaus darbuotojus, atskleisti sių darbuotojų galimi privalumai ir trūkumai. Purpose – to explore the factors for productive relationship between managers and employees. The article examines the role of the interrelationship of managers and employees in order to improve organisational performance. Design/methodology/approach – A quantitative study was conducted to collect empirical data. Research method - questionnaire. The questionnaire contains statements formulated on the basis of the theoretical analysis. Respondents were asked to answer the statements by choosing one of the 6 options: totally disagree, disagree, mostly disagree than agree, mostly agree than disagree, agree and fully agree. The summarized study results are shown in diagrams in a percentage. Findings – it was determined that during the period of transformations of public sector organisations, in order to improve the performance results, the heads of social service institutions should pay more attention to such factors as: attention to quality policy, promotion of personnel motivation, employee qualification improvement, employee involvement in decision-making, informing clients about the performance of the institution, tasks based on consensus between the managers and employees to improve the performance of the institution. Research limitations/implications – as respondents' answers were analyzed as a whole, it was not clear how much the opinion of managers and employees were close or different. Because of this limitation, we can only evaluate the research insights as general trends, and we cannot claim that most employees or most managers agree with the statement at the same level as after both managers' and employees' opinions were combined and analyzed. Practical implications – the results of this study may be useful for the heads of social service institutions to improve their organisational performance. Originality/Value – the study examined the role of the relationship between managers and employees in improving the organisation's activities in the field of social services. The article is based on a new approach to the manager's ability to achieve important results for the company: the theoretical analysis shows that without employees' provision and devotion, the manager would not be able to achieve high results even if he or she has the necessary competences, knowledge and skills. The study is original in that it was empirically verified and confirmed that this theoretical approach is indeed relevant to social service institutions. p> Важливою складовою собівартості продукції харчових виробництв є елементи забезпечення їх безпечного виробництва, одним з яких являється внутрішній протипожежний водопровід, який обов’язковий для встановлення в приміщеннях харчових виробництв з відповідною категорією за вибухопожежною та пожежною небезпекою, ступенем вогнестійкості та об’ємом виробничого корпусу. З введенням в дію ДБН В 2.5-64:2012 «Внутрішній водопровід та каналізація» кожна шафа окрім встановленого в ній пожежного кран-комплекту діаметром 50 або 65 мм, обов’язково комплектується додатковим пожежним кран-комплектом діаметром 25 або 33 мм, який призначений для швидкого введення вогнегасної речовини в початковій стадії розвитку пожежі, а тому забезпечує зниження збитків від неї. Додаткові кран-комплекти комплектуються рукавом (довжина рукава – до 30 м, діаметр рукава – 25 мм або 33 мм, тип рукава – напівжорсткий) та розпорошувачем (діаметр випускного отвору розпорошувача від 4 до 12 мм). До переваг таких пристроїв відносять невеликі габарити, застосування спеціальних насадок розпорошувача дозволяє створювати дрібнодисперсний струмінь води, який не пошкоджує оточуючи речи та обладнання, гнучкий рукав комплекту дозволяє обійти технологічні установки, що зустрічаються на шляху, установка перекривного пристрою дозволяє перервати роботу в будь-який момент і відновити її за необхідності, вартість вогнегасної речовини – води, як і самої установки – невелика. В залежності від умов використання додаткового пожежного кран-комплекту різні характеристики його складових можуть забезпечити підвищення або зниження ефективності його роботи. Тому запропоновано спосіб визначення характеристик складових додаткового пожежного кран-комплекту для конкретних умов його експлуатації. Вірний вибір параметрів складових дозволить з урахуванням гідродинамічних характеристик системи, що забезпечує роботу таких пристроїв, з найменшими економічними втратами забезпечити успішне гасіння пожежі та знизити збитки від неї. An important component of the cost of food products is the elements of ensuring their safe production, one of which is the internal fire water supply, which is obligatory for installation in the premises of food production enterprises with the appropriate category for fire and fire hazard, fire resistance and the volume of the production building. With the introduction of the DBN V 2.5-64:2012 "Internal plumbing and sewage system", each cabinet, except for installed fire faucet with a diameter of 50 or 65 mm, necessarily completes an additional fire faucet with a diameter of 25 or 33 mm, which is designed for the rapid introduction of extinguishing agent in the initial stage of the development of the fire, and therefore provides a reduction of losses from it. Additional fire faucets are completed with a sleeve (length of the sleeve - up to 30 m, diameter of the sleeve - 25 mm or 33 mm, type of sleeve - semi-rigid) and the sprayer (diameter of the outlet of the sprayer from 4 to 12 mm). The advantages of such devices include small dimensions. The use of special spray nozzles allows you to create a fine splash of water that does not damage the surroundings of speech and equipment. The flexible sleeve of the kit allows you to bypass technological installations that are found on the track. The installation of the overlapping device allows you to interrupt the work at any time and restore it as needed. The cost of extinguishing agent and the installation itself is small. Depending on the conditions of the use of an additional fire faucet, the various characteristics of its components can provide an increase or decrease in the efficiency of its operation. Therefore, a method of determining the characteristics of components of an additional fire faucet for the specific conditions of its operation is proposed. The correct choice of parameters of components will allow, taking into account the hydrodynamic characteristics of the system, ensuring the operation of such devices, with the least economic losses, ensure the successful extinguishing of the fire and reduce losses from it. </p

Organizational learning is evaluated as issue of essential importance in modern organizations performing in contemporary society of knowledge. It is claimed that organizational learning is a very appropriate tool for adapting to the changing environment and for integration of various innovations into organizational activities. Different authors emphasize that learning in organizations occurs in individual, group or collective and organizational levels. But only learning formalized and documented in official organization legislation is named as organizational learning and is meant to be necessary for an organization for gaining its new knowledge.
