Gilding as on artistic value in The contemporary painting ( Experimental study )

Abstract

Gilding art is considered one of the ancient heritage arts techniques , which was flourished in various art ages ,
especially in the ancient Egyptian art . The usages of this technique were expanded in the furniture in duster until now . It
becomes one of the customary and common artisanship works in Damietta governorate as on industrial and productive
environment for the wooden furniture therefore it has its impact upon studiers of art education in the specific education
faculty in Damietta .
Adding gilding technique to painting techniques gives a value which is higher than what known painting techniques
are distinguished by . This is not new for the gilding art which is considered one of the royal techniques in the pharaoh
arts . Sarcophaguses , chairs , beds and funeral compartment in the eighteenth family in the monuments of the king (
Tutankhamen ) witness upon that . Also , what followed then in icons and Coptic art murals serve as evidence of that .
In the Islamic art , the technique related to gilding was considered an independent technique in the writings ,
decorating pages and binding and manuscripts . This technique is taught under the title of gilding in the Arabic
calligraphy schools until now .
