This study undertakes a comprehensive review of the Sri Lankan Education and Training System. The book examines policies, enrolment and organization of the education system; the economic and social benefits of investment in education; resources and service delivery; dimensions of education quality; and training and links to the labor market. The study contains econometric and statistical analyses, as well as qualitative discussions. A variety of policy options for education development are presented and discussed. The book also provides several examples of international good practice.
