Abstract

The paper describes 5 new species of Meganola Dyar, 1898 (M. paramediana, M. nankunensis, M. wangi, M. donglashanensis and M. longshengensis spp. nov.) from China. Five described species, M. latiscripta László, Ronkay & Witt, 2005, M. tarkabarka László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010, M. semirufa (Hampson, 1894), M. galsworthyi László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010 and M. indistincta (Hampson, 1894) are reported from China for the first time. Adults and genitalia are illustrated.Se describen 5 nuevas especies del género Meganola Dyar, 1898 (M. paramediana, M. nankunensis, M. wangi y M. donglashanensis longshengensis spp. nov.) de China. Se reportan cinco especies de polillas conocidas, M. latiscripta László, Ronkay & Witt, 2005, M. tarkabarka László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010, M. semirufa (Hampson, 1894), M. galsworthyi László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010 y M. indistincta (Hampson, 1894) de China por primera vez. Se ilustran los adultos y las genitalias.

The present catalogue is the first résumé of the family Nolidae Bruand, 1846 recorded in India comprising 354 species under 98 genera of 6 subfamilies, including four new records to India: Casminola seminigra (Hampson, 1896), Evonima ronkaygabori Han & Hu, 2019, Meganola suffusata (Wileman & West, 1929) and Nola euryzonata (Hampson, 1900). The Indian Nolidae represents 16.2 % of the global species (2,179 species) of Nolidae. The information on the type locality, type depository, sex of the type (wherever available), first reference, synonymy, host plants (wherever available) and distribution within as well as outside India for each of the included species is provided. Some clarifications regarding type locality, type depository along with new distributional records within Indian states are also given with 72 images of adults.

This paper provides a comprehensive check list of Nolinae species recorded in Hong Kong, China based on the collections of the second author, Dr. Roger Kendrick and the Natural History Museum, London. The checklist comprises 30 species. Two of them are new to science and described here as new species (Spininola kendricki sp. n., and Hampsonola ceciliae sp. n.). Misidentification of the female paratype of Spininola nepali László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2014 is revealed and the true female of S. nepali is illustrated with its genitalia described here for the first time. The hitherto unknown female of S. armata László, Ronkay & Witt, 2010 is also illustrated here for the first time. All species recorded from Hong Kong are illustrated together with their genitalia on 54 colour and 46 black and white diagnostic figures.

The genus Meganola Dyar, 1898 is reviewed for Korea, with 12 species, including the new species, Meganola parki Oh & Cha, sp. n. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all the Korean species are provided, with a key to species of Meganola based on the external morphology and male genitalia. All known host plants are provided, some of them newly recorded.

The detailed information about distribution within India as well as in other countries, first reference, latest reference, type locality, type depository, synonymy has been provided for each species. Present paper contains the descriptions of four new genera distinguished from the collecting genus Meganola s.l. (Hamp-sonola, Wittonola, Fragilonola and Maculonola gen. n.) and 11 new species (Meganola pseudobasalactifera, Hampsono-la diehli, H. subbasirufa, H. angustifasciata, H. stueningi, H. micra, Wittonola latifasciata, Nanola rothschildi, Fragilonola fragilis, F. parentela and Maculonola dolokmerangirensis spp. n.) from South East Asia. Based on genital morphology the concept of the genus Nanola is extended, involving several species treated earlier as Meganola. Meganola yakovlevi László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2010 is synonymised with M. tetrodon (de Joannis, 1928), and M. pekarskyi László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2014 is synonymised with Nanola liaoningensis (Han & Li, 2008), syn. n. 45 new combinations and 2 new stati are established. Cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) is an established treatment for heart failure, however the effective selection of patients and optimisation of therapy remain controversial. While extensive research is ongoing, it remains unclear whether improvements in patient selection or therapy planning offers a greater opportunity for the improvement of clinical outcomes. This computational study investigates the impact of physiological conditions that guide patient selection, and of the optimisation of pacing lead placement, on CRT outcomes. A multi-scale biophysical model of cardiac electromechanics was developed and personalised to patient data in three patients. These models were separated into components representing cardiac anatomy, pacing lead location, myocardial conductivity and stiffness, afterload, active contraction and conduction block for each individual, and recombined to generate a cohort of 648 virtual patients. The effect of these components on the change in total activation time of the ventricles (ΔTAT) and acute haemodynamic response (AHR) was analysed. The pacing site location was found to have the largest effect on ΔTAT and AHR. Secondary effects on ΔTAT and AHR were found for functional conduction block and cardiac anatomy. The simulation results highlight a need for a greater emphasis on therapy optimisation in order to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

It contains the records of 127 species occurring in this area, with the descriptions of 16 new genera and 46 new species, numerous new combinations, stati and synonyms. The paper contains the analysis of the taxonomic Status of three poorly known species of the genus Meganola DYAR, 1898: Meganola ascripta (HAMPSON, 1894), Meganola cuneifera (WALKER, 1862) and Meganola ruficostata (HAMPSON, 1896), stat. rev. as bona species. Three new species are described: Meganola calligrapha sp. nov. (Thailand), Meganola albiscripta sp. nov. (N-Vietnam) and Meganola latiscripta sp. nov. (SVietnam).

Meganola is a large and morphologically rather diverse genus, which is widely distributed on all continents, although it proved to be the most species rich in the mountains of Southeast Asia. In this article, the new species Meganola tibetensis was collected at Tibet and reminds externally Himalayan-Indochinese species Meganola mediofusca László, Ronkay & Witt, 2007. These two species have similar configuration of female genitalia concerning the spinulose signum, but their male genitalia are totally different. In male genitalia, harpe approximate trapezoid and aedeagus without cornuti in new species, while in M. mediofusca harpe claw-like and aedeagus armed with many spines. Adults and genitalia of both species are illustrated.
