Last year, Microsoft Company has been developed a new powerful teaching and
learning tool which known as OneNote Class Notebook Creator. It can be defined as a
digital platform that enable educators to build electronic classroom through creating
notebooks to share their training materials effectively with the rest of their classmates.
Additionally, it helps teachers to monitor interaction of each student through using
various activities in the class such as sharing digital handouts, take notes easily and fast
synchronisation on pages. This essay will highlight the ways and benefits of using OneNote
in education.
The ways of using OneNote in education:

... Besides, OneNote is very convenient and accessible at anytime and anywhere on any device, which is not offered in a conventional classroom setting. Salman (2014) mentioned that OneNote is one of the most powerful tools for teaching and learning, which has gained better popularity than the traditional method. It allows lecturers to use it as a teaching whiteboard, thus, students can collaboratively work online, and feedback can be proffered in students' work in real-time. ...
... The changes made will be synchronised the next time when the user is connected to the Internet again. OneNote is indeed one of the most useful tools for instructors replacing the traditional approach of teaching and learning (Salman, 2014). It is not only used as a digital whiteboard for writing and drawing using pen-like stylus in the online classes, but also is designed to be user friendly, easy to navigate and easy notes organization. ...
... It is not only used as a digital whiteboard for writing and drawing using pen-like stylus in the online classes, but also is designed to be user friendly, easy to navigate and easy notes organization. From the study, it can be asserted that OneNote fulfils the two factors, including the perceived usefulness of the technology and the perceived ease of use, that influence the attitude of an individual towards technology and the behavioural intention to use IT (Venkatesh & Davis, 2000), which make it a top-notch tool to complement the traditional whiteboard (Salman, 2014). Besides that, OneNote class notebook in MS Teams can also be used to facilitate students' collaboration activities, during or after the class promoting interactive learning in the classroom (Acharya & Czajkiewicz, 2008;Patchigalla, 2019). ...

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced institutions worldwide shifting to fully online learning along with the campus shut down to avoid the spread of virus in year 2021. Considering the necessity of distance education during the pandemic, the Internet of Thing (IoT) and technology play an important role in keeping all connected. In this study, the usability and adoption of Microsoft OneNote class notebook via MS Teams are presented. In view of mathematics classes require a lot of annotation and demonstration of calculation solutions, OneNote class notebook via MS Teams is adopted due to its built-in content library space and collaboration space which act as the digital whiteboard for teachers and students. Besides, OneNote class notebook is able to provide a real-time synchronized space for all the mathematical works. The convenience, usefulness and real-time features of OneNote class notebook via MS Teams make it a powerful tool and as a substitute for the traditional classroom. The chat history and work done in the collaboration space during the break-out room sessions via MS Teams offer the students space to recall and retrieve what has been learned in the class. The COVID-19 crisis provides us an opportunity to blend in the component of IoT in education such as live and collaborative platforms in OneNote class notebook to complement both face-to-face and online education.

The current COVID- 19 pandemic has forced many countries to halt the spread of the virus by closing schools, colleges and universities. Educators, parents and students continue to struggle adapting new ways of going out about their lives. With the shift from face-to-face instruction to online education, developing and designing online learning platforms, tools and materials have certainly been a challenge for special education teachers in providing engaging learning experience to their students. In the context of English language learning, the deaf and hard of hearing students at Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO) need a variety of approaches and support in terms of appropriate adaptations, modifications and accommodations made to the online instruction and learning activities. This innovative research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of 3D Virtual Learning Environment (3D VLE) Vocab-Game that is designed not only to improve deaf students’ English Vocabulary but to better engage them in fun virtual classroom activities.

There are myriad ways digital technologies may support and enhance learning for vocational education and training learners (see, e.g. Cattaneo, Evi-Colombo, Ruberto, & Stanley, 2019, for an overview on the use of video to support VET). In keeping with the precepts through this volume, the specific focus in this chapter is on the use of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) to support the feedback processes revolving around the learning of trades work, as framed by the approaches of ‘learning as becoming’. Digital tools provide many advantages for supporting the processes of ‘learning as becoming’. Firstly, digital records of learning, especially in the form of video, provide access to some of the multimodal/multisensory experiences inherent in trades learning. These records may be useful as resources to support deliberate practice (Ericsson, 2006). In particular, moving images provide some indications of the many nuances and modalities of practice, assisting learners to access the sociomaterial influences characteristic of trades work. Reference to movement, actions or other phenomenon may be achieved through non-verbal means, as often there is limited language to describe the processes of work. Secondly, recordings may form the platform for timely or asynchronous feedback from peers, teachers, experts and others (i.e. the socio-cultural). The collation of digital evidence of learning to showcase ‘learning as becoming’ is also an advantage afforded by digital technologies. The challenges of developing, implementing and supporting TEL in trades learning environments are also discussed.
