Increased plasma calcium level is known as hypercalcemia. It occurs in hyper parathyroidism, vit. D toxicity etc. In infants idiopathic hypercalcemia occurs. Clinical symptoms are cardiac abnormalities

Since liver is rich in ALT this test is specific for liver dysfunction. ALT is more in hepatitis
- Alanine Transaminase

liver and other tissues. Since liver is rich in ALT this test is specific for liver dysfunction.
ALT is more in hepatitis. In alcoholic cirrhosis also ALT is more.
It is a protein and it is tumour marker for lung cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and pancreas cancer

Carcino embryonic antigen (CEA): It is a protein and it is tumour marker for lung
cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and pancreas cancer.
