Abstract

This poster gives an overview of our developments in the field of innovative cryotechnologies for managing biological material stored over liquid nitrogen, especially for vaccine related specimens in the Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD). As fundamental part of the novel technology we have developed innovative cryocontainers attached to electronic memory chips holding data about the origin and type of the specimen, lab processing as well as storage and shipment conditions. The new technologies provide state-of-the-art sample identification, documentation and tracking that brings added value to each sample.
