123. Use of Oxytocin and Vasopressin in obstetrics and gynecology
The results from using buccal oxytocin citrate (Pitocin®) to stimulate labor in 131 patients are detailed. Data are compared with those for I66 controls. Guidelines are established for the use of buccal Pitocin, and it is concluded that, within these guidelines, this form of oxytocin use is a safe method for stimulating labor.
