The purpose of this project was to develop a prototype which can detect and visualize superficial veins using IR-light and augmented reality. In addition to this, features such as detecting and highlighting the largest vein were to be implemented. The product is highly sensitive to the distance between the device and the measurement site, so to get dimensions right, the user must hold the device at a distance of 40 cm from the measurement site.
