Abstract

Specimens of 20 species of Aphanoneura and Oligochaeta were collected from August 1989 through December 1989 from Lake Louise, a blackwater, acidic, nutrientpoor lake located in southern Georgia. Aeolosoma travancorense is reported for the first time from North America and several species are reported for the first time from Georgia. Species accounts include known distributions and morphological characteristics for the rarer species.
