L'habitat rural dans la Provence Antique : villa, vicus et mansio. Etudes de cas

Abstract

This file originates from a reflection on rural settlements in Provence. These which have not been made the object of a specific paper are regrouped here and presented in their micro-regional space : the "Moyenne Durance" and the valley of Buëch, the depression of Maillanne between the plain of Arles and the Durance, the valley of Argens and the « dépression permienne» in the var department. The study of the sites located on the "Etang de Berre" shores draws attention to the diffusion of villa, maritima on the Provence littoral.
