Abstract

Factors such as the vastness of geological location, the diversity of climate and vegetation in Turkiye, as it applies to other insect groups, also bring diversity to insects that belong in the Heteroptera order. The Heteroptera fauna in Turkiye, especially in the 19th and 20th centuries, has been studied by both local and international researchers, thus significant findings were obtained. Species represented in the Turkish fauna and their associated upper taxa, within each family group are alphabetically listed in their filogenetic order in this catalogue. The category locations of endemic species as well as the national and international distributions of those species are the primary features presented here. The following features of the catalogue in respective order is relevant information on the species’ habitats, the zoogeographical classes, their economical significance, their abundance and feeding habits that are also briefly mentioned. Deceased Professor Dr. Feyzi Onder who had spent long years studying the Turkish Heteroptera fauna, has complied and reviewed this catalogue within the years 1995-2000. His work was then reviewed by his peers and prepared for publication after he passed away. In the meantime this publication was updated in the light of the more recent information gathered on Turkey’s Heteroptera fauna. It will be kindly appreciated if the possible inefficiencies and flaws detected in the text are informed to those who prepare this catalogue, in which it is intended to reflect the condition of 1526 species/subspecies belonging in a total of 40 different families of Heteroptera fauna, as observed by the end of year 2005. This way the necessary corrections can be made in the later editions. In hopes that this effort will benefit those who work in this field and students of agriculture, biology and environment both nationally and internationally likewise…

In this study, the research material consists of samples collected from Amasya and the Kelkit Valley between 2006 and 2007. In and around Amasya, and the Kelkit Valley, 11 species belonging to 3 genera of Nabidae and 9 species belonging to 6 genera of Reduviidae from 48 different localities were determined. Of those, all species of Nabidae and 7 species of Reduviidae are new records for the partıcular research areas. Prostemma aeneicolle Stein, 1857, Prostemma guttula asiaticum Kerzhner, 1968, Nabis sareptanus Dohrn, 1862 and Nabis brevis Scholtz, 1847 are less known and rare species from Turkey.

The species of suborder Heteroptera (Hemiptera) on vineyards agroecosystems which found in Diyarbakır, Elazığ and Mardin provinces, Turkey. Munis Entomology & Zoology, 7 (1): 255-258] ABSTRACT: This study has been realized in the localities of Diyarbakır, Elazığ and Mardin during 2006-2007 where vineyards agroecosystem plantations are common. In total, 10 Heteroptera species from five families (Pentatomidae, Scutelleridae, Miridae, Coreidae and Lygaeidae) were recorded in these provinces. The distribution of collected species in each province varied greatly; these were in total, 2 species from two families recorded at two sampling locations in Diyarbakır, 3 species from two families recorded at one sampling locations in Elazıg, 5 species from three families at two sampling locations in Mardin respectively. From these families was collected of 59 specimens. Apart the Nysius cymoides and Holcostethus vernalis Wolff, 1804, all species were recorded of first times of the vineyards agroecosystem.

In this paper, the authors report the discovery of Sphedanolestes sanguineus (Fabricius, 1794) in Turkey, a new finding for Asian fauna, and give an annotated checklist of Reduviidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) for this country. Stenolemus novaki Horvath, 1888, Holotrichius apterus Jakovlev, 1879, Holotrichius denudatus A. Costa, 1842, Holotrichius rotundatus Stal, 1874, Rhynocoris annulatus (Linnaeus, 1758), Rhynocoris transitus Hoberlandt, 1952, and Pygolampis bidentata (Goeze, 1778) are little known species from Turkey. Furthermore, Stenolemus novaki is recorded for the first time from Marmara and central Anatolia, and Pygolampis bidentata is recorded for the first time in the eastern Black Sea region. A revised list of Turkish Reduviidae species comprising 57 taxa is compiled.

The terrestrial true bugs Heteroptera collected in three provinces of the South-East part of Anatolia (Diyarbakır, Mardin, Elazığ) are listed. It is based on a short but intensive collecting trip made in May-June 2010. Two hundred eighty six species and subspecies belonging to 19 families and 178 genera are reported: (37). The species list includes remarks on taxonomy, nomenclature, biology or distribution. Fourteen species are recorded from Turkey for the first time; all of them are mirid plant bugs except three species belonging respectively to anthocorid, reduvid and lygaeid families. Some of them are illustrated.

This study is based on material of the family Scutelleridae collected from different localities in Turkey between 1969 and 2013. In this study, 13 species of 7 genera belonging to 4 subfamilies (Eurygasterinae, Elvisurinae, Odontoscelinae, Odontotarsinae) from the family Scutelleridae were recorded from Turkey. Among them, Eurygaster integriceps Puton, 1881; Eurygaster maura (Linnaeus, 1758); and Odontotarsus purpureolineatus (Rossi, 1790) have been found to be the most abundant and widespread species. Phimodera flori Fieber, 1863 is a new record for the Turkish fauna. In addition, new localities were found for some species that have already been reported in Turkey.
