The first report of the family Adamystidae
(Acari: Prostigmata) from Iran

Abstract
During 2009-2010, A study was carried out to collect and identify the mites of
the suborder Prostigmata in south of Kamfiruz region (Fars province).
A new species of Adamystis Cunliffe, 1957, in the family Adamystidae was
collected and identified. Record of this family and genus is new to the mites'
fauna of Iran.
