Repeated action and size of the dynamic impacts due to vehicle operation affects adversely the service life, resistence, loading and durability of the railway substructure and permanent way materials. The values of the dynamic impacts do not allow a long-time resistence of the construction components (such as steel or rubber elements, trackbed layers etc.). The goal of the proposed technical solutions is to minimise the dynamic impacts, while their total elimination is impossible due to the design of switch and crossing laid on the ballast. With regard to the long life of the structures it appears favourable to apply the designs leading to the limitation of dynamic impact propagation which will bring economic use of mantance costs in the future.
