Eight species of Acronictinae, thirteen of Bryophilinae, one of Hypenodinae and seven of Hypeninae (Lepi- doptera: Noctuidae) were recorded in Israel, five of which are new for Israel, four of which were colleted in the Is- raeli-German survey (Acronicta psi, Craniophora pontica, Craniophora melanisans and Cryphia labecula) and one of which (Craniophora ligustri) was found in the Tel Aviv

Four species previously recorded in Israel were not found during this survey (Cryphia maeonis, Victrix tabora, Schrankia taenialis, and Cryphia am- seli). Two species (Cryphia labecula, Victrix marginelota) are endemic to Israel and Lebanon; two, (Cryphia paulina and Craniophora melanisans), are endemics of the West Arabian Peninsula. The distribution, phenology and ecolo- gy of the 29 species is discussed.
