years visual observation), 8 years evaluated in detail
22 different pairs (78 crane-pair years), 16 pairs > 1 year; 48
different individuals
Out of 3 pairs each 1 individual each year present without
interruption (M1, M4 und F2), no pair each year together
without interruption; M4F4 present in 9 of 10 years, M4 in 1
year with a different partner
6 pairs with > 2 years Brook presence always together, 6 pairs
with 7 new partners (27,3%), M6 had 4 different F, 8 Junge
Only 2 pairs always in same territory, many territory changes
much stronger dynamics than assumed before
more than 1/4 of the cranes enters into a 2nd „marriage“
good territories more stable than poorer ones
