Organization of the interactive interface in the APAC-D package

Abstract

The paper describes the interactive application package APAC-D for analysis and solution of linear systems of algebraic equations with accuracy estimation of the results. The interactive interface includes features that enable the user to develop permanent skills for working with the package, in addition to solving specific problems.

Article
The article is devoted to the requirements placed on program packages for the solution of various classes of problems. The difficulties of obtaining machine solutions of problems, coinciding with the mathematical and physical solutions, are discussed. 1. In twenty years of its development computers have gone over the path from the low-reliability firstgeneration computers, performing tens of thousands of operations per second, to the contemporary third-generation integrated-circuit computers with millions of operations per second, supplied with highly developed means for manmachine communication. During these years, in which a fairly great experience has been accumulated in the solution of complex scientific and technical and economic-planning problems, computers have come to be used in automated management systems for the solution of problems in the management of both continuous and discrete production. At the present time computers are used, as a rule, in regimes for debuggin~a algorithms and programs (the construction of algorithms) and the solution of information processing problems by the debugged algorithms and programs. Existing computers not only allow individual complex problems to be solved, but also the organization of the formulation of a numerical experiment in the solution of scientific-technical problems and the investigation of simulation models in the solution of economic-planning problems. Today's computers are not only powerful means of cognition of the world surrounding us, but, unfortunate!y, a powerful means for self-deception and mass falsification of results.
