... As defined hi Creswell (1998), this study can be described or defined as a "backyard" study. This study is called a backyard study becatise the primary researcher (first author) also experienced the same phenomena as was identified within this study. ...
... Both axial and in vivo codes were utilized and questions were revised between interviews. A questionnaire was developed and administered afrer initial analysis to some participants in cases where the researchers needed further clarification from the participants (Creswell, 1998). ...
... Audio-cassette recordings and follow-up phone conversations were conducted. Data collection and analyses occurred simultaneously (Creswell, 1998). Each participant was interviewed from a list of ten to twelve questions. ...

The pathway to college is not equal for all students. Students from low socioeconomic backgrounds and minorities often face difficult challenges in trying to obtain a college education. Thus, this study utilized a qualitative grounded theory approach to explore and to understand how first-generation minority college students are motivated to over-come their family histories to achieve a college education. The study consisted of two groups of participants. The first group, the central group of focus, was made up of three first-generation college students. The second group, the comparison group, consisted of two third-generation college students. Semi-structured interviews conducted in person and online were pivotal ways in which data were collected. After data collection, the data were transcribed, coded, and emergent themes identified. Results of the study revealed that first-generation college students, unlike the third-generation college students in this study (the comparison group), were not encouraged by family to attend college but their inner drive to attend college to achieve a better way of life for themselves led to them being the first in their families to attend and to graduate from college. In light of the findings of this study, it is suggested that teachers become mentors who can encourage students, particularly, minority students to attend college.
... The research team utilised a phenomenological research design to explore this issue. The phenomenological method allows for understanding participants' lived experiences specifically related to their educational experiences and the meanings they attach to them (Creswell 2013). Moustakas (1994) asserts that the phenomenological study centres on two general questions: What have you experienced in terms of the phenomenon? ...
... The participants' descriptions of their racialised experiences at a PWI and its impact on their educational preparation programme experiences embody the tenets of CRT and LatCrit. The benefit of in-depth interviewing is that it converges on meanings that life events have for individuals and how that meaning guides their future actions (Creswell 2013). Individual interviews were appropriate for this study because this method is aligned with the counter-storytelling tenet of CRT and allows the participants a platform to communicate their experiences (Delgado and Stefancic 2017). ...
... Using a purposive sampling method (Creswell 2013), the research team began by obtaining an email list of those who fit the selected criteria. Then, an email was sent to potential participants detailing the purpose and methodology of the study. ...

Drawing from Critical Race and Latino Critical Race frameworks, this qualitative study aimed to examine the role of race in the experiences of pre-service teachers of color at a predominantly White institution. The participants identified factors impacting their sense of belonging, which included perceptions of others, self-perception compared to White peers, isolation, invisibility, and the emotional and academic tolls on them when navigating microaggressions. Implications from this study implore EPPs to consider the development of anti-racist policy and practice and intercultural proficiency development in all aspects of the training process, including curriculum, field experiences, and student teaching. Furthermore, to combat the mechanisms of internalized racism experienced by the participants, this study highlights the need to examine majoritarian views and internalized deficit thinking by engaging pre-service teachers in unpacking their experiences with racist schooling in both K–12 and teacher preparation.
... The objective is to delve into the underlying events that transpire behind the observed phenomena. It is supplemented by structured data collection through a narrative approach involving individuals connected to the case, supporting documentation, and observational insights (Creswell, 2013). This research aims to elucidate the significance and experiences of the research subjects concerning a specific phenomenon-the implementation of East Java Corporate University (East Java CorpU). ...
... Regarding secondary data sources, researchers will undertake a comprehensive review of charts and documents pertinent to the research topic. The data collection procedure, employing phenomenological methods (as depicted in Figure 1), may align with Creswell's recommended approach known as "A Data Collection Circle" (Creswell, 2013). ...

This study aims to explore the application of the East Java Corporate University (Jatim CorpU) which is used as a talent management instrument for the state civil apparatus in East Java province in relation to realizing the governor's vision and mission as outlined in the nawa bhakti satya program. Thus, the right type of research to answer this is qualitative research. This research will concentrate on the perspectives of key stakeholders, namely BPSDM (Human Resources Development Agency) of East Java Province, which oversees East Java CorpU, and BKD (Regional Civil Service Agency) of East Java Province, responsible for talent management. Based on the research, it is evident that the implementation of CorpU in East Java, in the form of East Java CorpU, is well-established and has significant ramifications for talent management in East Java Province. An effective and efficient strategy adopted in the direction of East Java CorpU to bolster talent management is the application of the 70:20:10 competency development framework. The rationale behind this choice lies in its ability to provide flexibility for the extensive scope of SCA competency development in East Java Province, involving a substantial workforce of approximately 80,000 SCAs. Moreover, the 70:20:10 competency development method proves instrumental in addressing the intricacies associated with SCA competency development across various organizational tiers.
... Responsibilities of the second researcher included providing feedback on the analysis, psychologically transformed labels, and complementariness of themes with transcribed statements. The analysis of this investigation was derived from the guidelines of Moustakas (1994) and the "Duquesne method," which involved (a) collecting verbal protocols that described the experience, (b) reading them through carefully to get a sense of the whole, (c) extracting significant statements, (d) eliminating irrelevant repetition, (e) identifying central themes, and (f) integrating these meanings into a single description (Creswell, 1998). ...
... Participants' language was then transformed into psychologically sensitive expressions (Giorgi, 2006); for example, the description of an experience that conveyed subtle discrimination was transformed into the psychological label of a microaggression. Completing the data analysis involved providing both a textual description (description of the participant's experience) and structural description (context in which microaggressions take place) from the synthesized and transformed data (Creswell, 1998;Creswell, Hanson, Clark, & Morales, 2007). ...

Psychological research has shown the detrimental effects that overt heterosexism have on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (LGBQ) clients and on the psychotherapeutic relationship. However, the effects of subtle forms of discrimination, specifically sexual orientation microaggressions, have on LGBQ clients and the therapeutic relationship have not been addressed. This study used qualitative methodology to explore the phenomenon of sexual orientation microaggressions with 16 self-identified LGBQ psychotherapy clients. Results of this study support the existence of sexual orientation microaggressions within the therapeutic environment and provide a descriptive account of 7 sexual orientation microaggression themes, channels of microaggression communication, and the impact microaggressions have on therapy and clients.

The acceleration of digitalization in the field of education during the pandemic requires teachers to be quick to adapt. This study aims to describe teacher readiness in the form of mental readiness, self- readiness, and intelligence readiness to face digital transformation in terms of internal and external factors. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation conducted to six teachers from various school levels in Surabaya. The results of this study indicate that the readiness of teachers in the form of mental readiness, self, and intelligence to face digital transformation is good. However, there are obstacles in carrying out teacher activities using digital devices and media such as virtual media, web- based learning platforms, and the use of IoT (Internet of Things) caused by low adaptability. In overcoming this, the school's efforts are to provide digital literacy supplies and provide adequate digital technology. It is suggested that there is a need for a peer-to-peer pair learning program to speed up the adaptation process.
... Additionally, this study did not require any numeration and focused on explanation in the social phenomenon. According to Creswell (1997), quantitative research demonstrates the social and human issue, and the approach of this kind was reasonably required to develop a complex, holistic image, identify words, provide in-deep information, and undertake the research in a natural setting 8 . Therefore, the data in this research was classified as a qualitative method represented in the analysis of linguistics features in vowel phonemes in the Javanese language Wonosobo's dialect. ...

div class="WordSection1"> Smart city is the is the integration of technology infrastructure, development strategies for social/human capital, and a network of stakeholders to ensure the city’s interest. It is implemented to help government overcome urbanisation problems. However, the massive use of ICT in smart city raises questions on production of space in urban areas. Thus, this research aims to examine how production of space occurs in smart cities in Indonesia, namely in Badung (Bali), Sleman, and Bantul Regencies (Yogyakarta). Using qualitative multiple-case studies, this research characterised smart cities studied as proposed by Giffinger and Gudrun and analyzes them in the Lefebvrian’s concept of production of space. Data was collected in two stages: observation of smart city services on the official website and semi-structured interviews with smart city users in the three cities studied. The results show that the three official websites provide smart city services, although further development is required. Although, informants in this study knew about the program, their use of the services is limited due to technical obstacles, lack of interest, and lack of socialization of the services. As conclusion, the implementation of smart cities in three cities is still at the normative and top-down policy level. Hence, citizen might not understand or need these services. Regarding the production of space in smart cities, this research concludes that it occurs in spatial space and representational space. Therefore, the right to the city in the production of space to live and solve the city's social and economic problems is crucial. Keywords: Production of Space, City, Smart city, Yogyakarta, Bali Abstrak Smart city adalah tata kelola kota yang mengintegrasikan infrastruktur teknologi, strategi pengembangan modal sosial/manusia, dan jaringan pemangku kepentingan untuk menjamin kepentingan kota. Interbank Commodity Murabahah (ICM) has been one of the most widely used concepts in Islamic banking products in Malaysia since 2009. ICM's method for managing liquidity for Malaysian Islamic banks is the notion of Tawarruq, which is widely practised in most Islamic banking activities, including financing, deposits, capital markets, and investment. Realizing that the volume of ICM demand and its utilization has been stagnant among the Islamic Interbank players compared to other products for their liquidity management, this study examines the factors influencing the low usage of Commodity Murabahah in the Islamic Interbank Money Market in Malaysia. Notably, the study applied mixed methods to accomplish the research aims based on the preceding. The primary data were derived from the sample size of 70 respondents from 29 Islamic Banks in Malaysia, along with the interview with 14 Islamic finance experts to collect data on ICM as a liquidity management tool, focusing on the low degree of use by Islamic banks in Malaysia. Based on the findings, diminishing ICM practises caused by rising brokerage fees charged by commodities suppliers and lengthy transaction completion times caused by manual methods. With more robust and efficient Structured Tawarruq, this study proposes that Islamic banks employ more efficient technology, simplifying ICM agreements and lowering the brokerage cost of the commodity. The findings of this study are likely to be used by industry participants and regulators to improve the current controversial Tawarruq processes toward a more organised Tawarruq structure of Islamic banks in Malaysia. Instead of replicating conventional banking, IFIs should seek out better alternatives by developing more innovative solutions.

... The justification for this selection was that female respondents were in a better position to respond to an issue concerning them and the total number of female journalists found in the national newspaper organisations, 57, was a manageable sample size. Since the researcher intended interviewing the editors of various selected national newspaper organizations which could also be referred to as the researcher carrying out a descriptive phenomenological study, according to Creswell (1998), the researcher purposively selected the dailies editor per media house which equaled to a total of 7 participants for an experienced interview and additional 1 who was referred by the dailies editor, guardian newspaper to enrich this research work. ...

This study investigated gender and career visibility amongst female journalists in selected national newspapers in Lagos State, Nigeria. Stated differently, the research aimed at establishing the visibility level of female practicing journalists not just in number but positions occupied by them in the print media industry. Situated within the framework of Socio-cultural Theory and Gender Development, the study adopted the in-depth interview method and survey method. A sample of 58 respondents was selected from the 7 commonly known national newspaper organisations in Lagos State, Nigeria. For the survey aspect, 17 out of 58 Questionnaire was compiled through Google survey while the remaining 41 were collected physically by the researcher. However, data were collected using a semi-structured interview guide for the in-depth interview. Findings indicated that there is a large difference in the number and positions occupied by both practicing gender in the print media and the above difference is a result of one's passion, dedication, efficiency, and results produced in terms of several bylines. Also, the distribution in the category of both soft and hard news is based on one's preference or interest in writing. In addition, some of the issues raised as factors limiting their career visibility were marriage, family, tradition, and security issues amongst others. The study recommended, among others, that adequate security should be provided for female practicing journalists who have shown interest and persistence in digging out relevant information from a dangerous environment.

Purpose: Research on the prospects of fusion cuisine in Malaysia is currently scarce. Consequently, the purpose of this phenomenological study is to explore the fusion cuisine from domestic tourists' perspectives while travelling in Malaysia. Design/Methodology/approach: A qualitative data analysis strategy was employed. In-depth and semi-structured online interviews have been conducted with seven key individuals. A consent letter was given to the respondents before the interview. The interviews were conducted in Malay and data were recorded and transcribed into a written form. The respondents were national tourists randomly selected through social media accounts. The thematic analysis method was used to analyse the data. Findings: The research results showed three main themes, mainly the domestic tourists' understanding of Malaysian fusion cuisine, the food preferences of domestic tourists during the trip, and the views of domestic tourists on the transformation of the local cuisine. The results indicate that the attention of domestic tourists towards food innovation is related to food identity, health problems and its suitability as a proper strategy for tourism promotion in Malaysia. Research limitations: This study is only focused on domestic tourists' perspectives, and due to that, the findings collected are specific as it focuses on domestic tourists and not international tourists or the different generations living in Malaysia. Further ahead, the method utilised to carry out this study is only qualitative; therefore, the sample size is very limited, which might not resemble the overall perspectives of domestic tourists towards fusion cuisine in Malaysia. Hence, the qualitative method may not obtain various findings just like the quantitative method does. Practical implications: This research might possibly provide a clear vision and useful knowledge for producing better strategies to deal with the rapid yet uncontrollable emergence of fusion cuisine in Malaysia. This study is hoped to be effective in combating the movement of excessively renovated, redesigned, or overly modernised local heritage foods. The data and outcome from this research could also benefit all parties who are concerned about continuing the efforts to make local Malaysian foods recognised through creating and highlighting fusion cuisine in Malaysia. Originality/value: Malaysian cuisine must be elevated to be up to par with the rest of the world's famous cuisine, and these responsibilities are on the government as well as the culinarians. These efforts can somehow promote and encourage tourists to visit Malaysia in the 134 future. The plans must be thoroughly formed, and this research hopefully will be a good start for the efforts in bringing the fusion cuisine in Malaysia to the world. Basically, by exploring the perspectives of domestic tourists towards fusion cuisine in Malaysia, it is believed to benefit the government and the culinarians in refining the food serving process to look more presentable and improving the taste of the foods to suit local and international delicacies.
... In the discussion above, our conception of a UoA is consistent with how that concept is understood in ANT, cultural sociology and sociocultural theory -and in qualitative case study methodology more generally (e.g., Bernard, 2002;Creswell, 2006;Yin, 2003) -where UoAs are generally understood as analytical decisions rather than phenomena (i.e., maps, not territories). Thus, UoAs are deployed pragmatically and flexibly to answer specific research questions. ...

Situated and Activity theories have exercised a significant influence in the field of vocational learning for some considerable time, both sharing a focus on bounded forms of work and forms of learning that facilitate learning in, or to changes to, bounded forms of work. Yet much learning occurs in unbounded contexts often referred to as projectification, where collaborations occur only for the life of a project thereby creating new contingent contexts for learning . Given the existence of this form of working and learning, what type of unit of analysis (UoA) is required to analyse that vocational working and learning in the context of projectification? To address this question, the paper advances the following inter-theoretical argument. Firstly, it is timely to develop a new unit of analysis (UoA) to capture the fractional (intermittent, discontinuous and concurrent) working and learning dynamics associated with the forms of projectification, where funding has to be procured in order to commence. Secondly, that unit of analysis is constituted by the concept of project assemblage, which is based on ideas from Actor Network Theory, Cultural-historical Activity Theory and Cultural Sociology. Thirdly, this new UoA enables researchers to identify the way in which project teams, where members are coming in-and-out, learn to use their different forms of specialist activity to enact objects, why team members will have different backgrounds and understandings of their work, why objects may not cohere, even though team members may treat them as unified and coherent, and how team members learn to incorporate one another’s insights and suggestions, and establish a finalized object.

Conference Paper
It is alleged that NGOs are undergoing a crisis of confidence as they have become more secretive in their actions, thus making it increasingly difficult for their stakeholders to hold them accountable. Therefore, effective corporate governance is essential for NGOs as it relates to public affairs and managing shared resources. One of the most effective strategies for improving NGO performance is effective corporate governance. This study has investigated the corporate governance practices that influence the performance of NGOs, mainly in the Malaysian elderly care sector. The qualitative research approach and semi-structured interview technique have been adopted, and this study covered ten elderly care centres run by NGOs in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Malaysia. This study found that the implementation and promotion of corporate governance in Malaysian NGOs, particularly in the elderly care centres, is still lacking, primarily the transparency of financial reporting. These deficiencies have been recognised as major obstacles that the NGOs must overcome to establish effective corporate governance in this study. The study may provide useful information to policymakers, enabling them to formulate strategies to strengthen their regulatory framework so that it is more in line with the systems of other NGOs from other countries. In the same vein, this study recommended the board of NGOs adopt corporate governance best practices to improve performance, accountability, transparency and protect the interest of stakeholders.

Online corrective feedback (OCF) is important in online teaching and learning to detect and measure students’ understanding of the lesson. However, not all researchers agree to this, and continuous debates have been discussed as to whether corrective feedback helps improve language development. This study aims to identify responses to the types of online corrective feedback received by ESL learners and to determine the positive and negative responses to verbal and written corrective feedback. One hundred and fifteen ESL tertiary learners taking the report writing course participated in the study which was conducted during a 14-week semester through the online learning platform. Thereafter, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five randomly selected participants. The findings show that OCF had better responses for verbal corrective feedback than written corrective feedback although both the verbal and written feedback were found to be satisfactory as well as useful to the respondents. In effect, the OCF was able to elicit corrections of content and language. However, for both the verbal corrective feedback and the written corrective feedback, the responses were not all positive. This suggests that online corrective feedback can be effective by means of digital technologies. However, issues such as learner attitude, type of corrections and feedback given, learners’ lack of confidence and language proficiency, besides internet connectivity and other issues, should be addressed. In addition, efforts to provide input in the feedback process is required on the part of the instructor and students to enable the learning objectives to be achieved. For future research, it is recommended that research be conducted on the relationship between OCF and writing performance.

The learner-centered approach of self-regulated learning (SRL), long regarded as an effective approach in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), encompasses both cognitive and affective components. As the world changes rapidly, learners need to develop the skills and strategies they need to learn independently. SRL is therefore essential to prepare students for the challenges of 21st-century life and the workplace by preparing them to become lifelong learners. Educators play a key role in promoting and nurturing SRL in their classrooms, since they are among the most important stakeholders guiding students in the learning process. The beliefs of EFL teachers are crucial in this regard. In the context of EFL in Turkey, there are comparatively few studies on SRL. In order to better understand Turkish EFL teachers' perspectives on self-regulated learning, this study looked into their perspectives. This study is a qualitative research inquiry that aims to explore the viewpoints of Turkish EFL instructors regarding SRL in the context of language instruction. The study included a total of 15 EFL teachers who were employed at secondary schools located in Elazığ. The study's findings yielded insights into the perspectives and attitudes of Turkish EFL teachers about SRL. The results of the study indicated the presence of some misconceptions and a limited understanding of SRL among EFL teachers. Furthermore, it was determined that their behaviors and beliefs exhibit a lack of consistency. Finally, factors that affect teachers' beliefs about SRL on a context-level, a teacher-level, a student-level, and a parent-level were examined.

The study was to assess the importance of urban planning in the provision of infrastructure in selected towns (Bishoftu, Shashemene, Ambo and Fiche towns) in Oromia region. Urban planning is a mechanism of shaping and guiding the physical growth of the town. It plays a vital role to ensure the growth and development of urban centers. If properly planned & implemented, it contributes to the infrastructure provision. To do so, the methodology employed was descriptive & explanatory research design. Both qualitative & quantitative research approaches were followed. To conduct this study, primary and secondary data were collected. The primary data were collected from 344 households and 151 experts of the towns proportionally. The sample size of households was determined by the rule of thumb. The tools used were questionnaires, interview, focus group discussion, observation, document review and GPS. To collect the data, the tools were pre-tested & then pilot was taken to check for errors and any ambiguity. Analyses were done using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics include, mean & standard deviation, and cross tabulation to compute the level of response of each town respondent. Moreover, the inferential statistics were binary logistic regression and Spearman’s Rank Correlation. The finding of the study revealed that for the full implementation of the structural plan as the required standard there still need much to work in the towns. Together with this, untold is expected from the towns’ administration and Oromia Urban Planning Institute. The cause for the poor plan implementation was emanated from the planning phases. With regard to the status of infrastructure in the sample towns, the result confirmed that some infrastructures are relatively at better condition while some of them need attention. In line with this, the research identified the major challenges in the provision of infrastructure in accordance to the structural plans. Accordingly, the major challenges were financial bottleneck, lack of integration and composition, technical capacity, administrative problems, low commitment, weak stakeholders’ participation, lack of regular monitoring and evaluation and low top management support. The stronger determinants of adequate infrastructure provision are top management support, coordination & integration of sectors, commitment, stakeholders’ participation, skilled manpower, & awareness creation. In addition, monitoring & evaluation & sufficient budget had medium effect. People with communication disabilities (CDs), which includes disabilities in speech, language, voice and/or hearing, experience health and healthcare disparities. A barrier to accessing high-quality, equitable care is the lack of effective communication between patients and their providers. In designing a patient-prompted tool to facilitate communication, we analyzed qualitative feedback on communication strategies and the experience of people with CDs, caregivers, and providers in healthcare encounters. We aimed to describe communication strategies that patients with CDs find most useful and optimize a tool for patients to share their communication strategy preferences during clinical encounters. While patient-provider communication is paramount in every interaction, we aimed to highlight the intricacies of optimizing communication for this population. We performed a qualitative study utilizing focus groups and interviews with patients with CDs, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. A total of 46 individuals participated in focus groups or interviews; 26 participants self-reported a CD, nine were caregivers, and 11 were providers. Participants represented diverse types of CDs, including stuttering, aphasia, hearing loss, and people with autism or cerebral palsy who use assistive technology to communicate. Analysis of qualitative interview and focus group data was guided by a qualitative content analysis approach. We identified three themes: (1) While communication strategies should be individualized, participants agreed upon a consolidated list of best strategies and accommodations. We used this consolidated list to finalize tool development. (2) Patients and providers preferred disclosure of the CD and desired communication strategies before the appointment. (3) Providers often do not use communication strategies and accommodations during clinical encounters. For patients with CDs, it is critical to acknowledge and document the CD and individualize communication strategies during healthcare visits to facilitate communication. Studies are needed to evaluate whether improved communication strategy usage leads to improved health outcomes for this population.

A sense of belonging to one's educational institution has been linked to many positive benefits and could be utilised as a tool to close gaps in academic completion rates. In elite international schools, not all students fare the same. One explanation for this gap is a lack of a ‘sense of belonging'. The current study addresses the research question of ‘How do students from non-elite backgrounds experience belonging at an elite international school?' Semi-structured interviews with ten Grade 11 students from non-elite backgrounds who attended an elite international school in a major Asian city were conducted. The data was analysed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results suggest relationships and school culture most affected students' sense of belonging. These findings suggest there are many complexities to the belonging experienced by students from non-elite backgrounds studying in international schools. This study concludes with advice to educators in international schools and the wider sector.

Background and Objectives: Due to modernization, traditional bazaars in Iran have undergone many changes following the pace of changes and developments in contemporary economic activities. This issue has led to a change in the spatial organization of bazaars, which in most cases, has been in line with the spatial organization heterogeneity and inconsistency. This research hypothesizes that contemporary economic activities have had a tremendous impact on the spatial organization of Tabriz Grand Bazaar. This research aims to investigate the relationship between contemporary economic activities and the spatial organization of this bazaar. Methods: This research is based on the bibliographic study of documents and direct observations. It is conducted by the retroductive research strategy and qualitative approaches to discover the impact of contemporary economic activities on the spatial organization in Tabriz Grand Bazaar and to control some of its economic, social, and physical consequences. Findings: Although Iran has had no inherent economic and social changes since the late Qajar period, the factories and machine products have replaced traditional and local goods and services. The investors owned the majority of possessions and production tools. Expanding the deals in this system has led the small outputs not to be accountable. And as a result, this caused the small craft productions to transform into factory productions. Therefore, this period is the era in which the products are constantly altered. In the following, some of the contemporary economic factors are mentioned. Some examples include the expansion of markets and free contests, increase in the manufacturing and factory productions, enhancement of the social imbalance with high differences, increase in ownership of possessions and manufacturing tools by investors, and incentive for high-interest rates (domination of production in sales), the consumers’ supremacy, the focus of workforce, paying particular attention to creating the value-added, the expansion of transportations and commodity exchanges and also the domination of capitalism. The studies represent that from the late Qajar period, Tabriz bazaar witnessed the entry and presence of mass production and imported goods. Modern urban planning emerged in Tabriz bazaar by the change in the type and method of new economic activities and physical growth due to population growth and migration. Therefore, the spatial organization of the bazaar could not respond to this volume of goods and services. This production and supply volume split the bazaar space and debilitated the trade with the region and city. The old structure of the bazaar also underwent serious changes due to new needs, which led to the abandonment of some spaces and the addition of heterogeneous spaces. In some cases, this issue led to the disappearance of the hierarchy and patterns of activity and physicality in the bazaar and led to the creation of inconsistent spaces. The research reveals that spatial organization characteristics, such as centrality, patterns and index elements, structure, and hierarchy of the grand bazaar have been influenced by contemporary economic activities in different ways. The establishment of new commercial places in the Bazzar neighborhood, especially the commercial complexes and specialized markets built in the post-revolution period, attracted lots of people. As a result, the function of the bazaar as the sales center changed. The hierarchical organization of the bazaar has also changed due to adherence to the new road networks and innovations, yet it maintained its physical entirety. Conclusion: The results reveal that providing centrality, like economic activities in bazaar neighborhoods, and reawakening the prosperous and currency-flow-boosting jobs with a focus on increasing the output of exportable products such as shoes and carpets, can improve the physical and technical infrastructures. In addition, systematic renovation and restoration, holding production and supply exhibitions to induce social gatherings of different genders and ages nearby the relevant Rasteh (series of shops), would be beneficial for strengthening the place of the bazaar in the city. In terms of patterns and index elements, the specific construction and protective criteria for the bazaar spaces and environment are recommended to prevent physical depreciation and disappearance of existing patterns in the bazaar. Using the aggregation patterns in under-construction units, strengthening the bazaar axes, and highlighting the index elements can be reasonable approaches. In terms of physical structures, paying attention to the activities which prevent the monuments in the bazaar context to demolish, benefiting from their physical and functional values, attracting private investments, and providing enough parking spaces can be reasonable aims to be achieved. Human resources and project management are important in the subject of activity in organizing technology and innovations. Eventually, in the case of hierarchy, considering the structure and hierarchy of the neighborhood and inside flows of the bazaar, taking into account the organization of arrangements and sequences in the placement of spaces, activities, views, and movements would be the appropriate approach in upgrading and maintaining the hierarchy of the bazaar. Therefore, in addition to a comprehensive knowledge of the bazaar and spatial communication with the surrounding environment, technology and innovation management, human resource management, and finally, project management or common urban planning projects such as reviving the historical context can be a good strategy to maintain and improve the spatial organization of bazaar
