We also use the Fox–Gromov–Lafforgue–Naor–Pach results to derive a fractional Erdős–Stone theorem for semi-algebraic graphs in order to obtain a second proof of the fractional Helly theorem for boxes.

Difference analogue of Cartan's Second Main Theorem for slowly moving periodic targets

March 2016 · Annales Academiae Scientiarum Fennicae Mathematica

We extend the difference analogue of Cartan's second main theorem for the case of slowly moving periodic hyperplanes, and introduce two different natural ways to find a difference analogue of the truncated second main theorem. As applications, we obtain a new Picard type theorem and difference analogues of the deficiency relation for holomorphic curves.

New discovery of Nanhuaian rift system in southwestern Tarim basin and its geological significance

We firstly discovered the Nanhuaian rift system in southwestern Tarim Basin after a systemic interpretation of seismic data. The rift strikes NW-SE and presents an elongated shape in the plane with about 450km long and 70 ∼ 110km wide. It is a dustpan-like basin in the profile: a large-sized normal fault, as the rift' s syndeposition fault, is the southwestern border of the rift; the deposition ... [Show full abstract] thickness gradually thinning towards northeast. The deposition center is close to the southwestern border of the rift system, induced a large-scale half graben structure. The Nanhua system as typical growth strata is the main part of the rift deposition system. The Sinian system is deposited in the late period of or after the rifting. The southwestern Tarim Basin rift is formed during the breakup of the Rodinia Supercontinent, with a potential oil and gas exploration foreground.
