Abstract

The Regional Center for Talents "Mihajlo Pupin" is actively working for 10 years. During that time over 5000 students were involved in its work. The Center is engaged in discovering of extra-talented pupils and the creation of scientific and artistic youth. The main objective of this project is to support students who need to work harder than they are in their schools enabled, and to develop their creativity. The Regional Centre for Talents "Mihajlo Pupin" serves to perform it well and in this paper the part of those activities during the 2010th year will be presented. The Regional Centre for Talents "Mihajlo Pupin" in 2010. continued its very successful work. The work of the Centre was attended by about 500 students, which has been successfully guided through all the activities by 33 co-professor of the Center, 15 guest lecturers and leading scientists, professors and research workers of the CERN, the Vinca Institute, Institute of Physics, Belgrade, Institute for Educational Research, Faculties of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Philosophy, Philology and Geography, Teachers College, Faculty of Drama Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, well-known writers and linguists of Serbia, and various cultural representatives. Merit, so far, fully justifies the existence of the Centre as a non-political, non-profit, educational, scientific and cultural institution, created to take care of gifted students. In future work, along with already existing forms of work, within the possibilities, Center will introduce a new, modernized curricula and facilities, in line with European integration, which Serbia aspires. Achieved so far is encouraging to believe the future of this project.
