Abstract

This article explores the changes in the law on data retention brought about by the recent passage of the UK Anti-Terrorism Crime and Security Act 2001. It concludes that there is still much to learn about how the authorities plan to use the legislation. Until then, we will not know exactly what impact it is likely to have upon us.
