Desenvolvimento de competências e habilidades cognitivas através do jogo The SIMS

This article aims to socialize the results of the monograph developed during the
course of specialization in Education and Information and Communication Technologies at
the State University of Bahia (UNEB), concerning the contribution of electronic simulation
game The Sims for development of certain skills and cognitive abilities. The methodology
was divided into three stages: 1 - review 2 - cognitive analysis of Sims using the tool
Cognitive Map 3 - construction of the conceptual map representing the process of this game.
From the data obtained we carried out a comparative analysis of the cognitive processes of the
game and analyzed the characteristics of simulation games with the skills and abilities
required by the National Secondary Education Examination (ENEM).
