[Attempts in developing a standardized test system of immunologic reactivity]
Abstract
Stimulation of lymphocytes with mitogens and antigens is an established model for in vitro testing of immunoreactivity. Due to the great variability of blastogenic response the interpretation of these results is difficult. Our results suggest that multivariate experiments and statistics improve the interpretation.
Die immunmodulatorische Wirkung von Bluttransfusionen ist ein seit längerer Zeit kontrovers diskutiertes Phänomen. Seine Grundlage ist die Tatsache, daß mit homologen Blutkonserven einerseits antigene Strukturen und andererseits immunkompetente Zellen in den Empfängerorganismus gelangen. Als Konsequenz müßte eine Immunantwort resultieren, denn jedes wie auch immer geartete Eindringen von Antigenen in einen vitalen Organismus ist eine Störung seiner Individualität und, in Abhängigkeit von ihrem Fremdheitsgrad, eine mehr oder weniger starke Bedrohung seiner organischen Integrität, die eine Reaktion seines Immunsystems zwingend erfordert.
