Use of unobtrusive sensors for human activity recognition

Goal: The aim of this project is to develop a novel system for automated human activity detection and monitoring using low-cost, unobtrusive PIR, radar and other sensors. A system for capturing the sensor data from common readily available cheap sensors around the Arduino platform will be developed. An experiments in a control environment with volunteers will be conducted and collected data from the sensors will be pre-processed and labelled for further analysis and use in machine learning approaches for activity recognition.
