THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEVELOPMENT, CORRUPTION AND DEMOCRACY
Goal: The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between growth, corruption and democratic freedoms within the context of development. Low democracy level, corruption and low growth rate are most important obstacles to economic development. In this regard, low democracy and corruption face us as two of the most important obstacles to economic development. This study analyzes the effects of democracy (Dem) and corruption (Cor) indices on the growth (G) performance of Turkey for the 1995-2015 period by employing Toda-Yamamoto (1995) causality test (TY).
