Installing BigBlueButton usually requires its own server. However, using LXC/LXD it is possible to install it on a container, so that the server can be shared with some other applications. This article describes how to do it.

With COVID-19 pandemic, most of the schools and universities around the world have to do the teaching from home. In such conditions, being able to devise a virtual computer lab, where each student (with his laptop) participates remotely from home, might be quite useful. In this article we will see how to set it up with Epoptes, WireGuard VPN, and a VPS on the cloud.

With COVID-19 pandemic, most of the schools and universities around the world have to do the teaching from home. In such conditions, being able to access computer labs remotely might be quite useful. In this article we will see how to achieve this with Guacamole, WireGuard VPN, and a VPS on the cloud.

BigBlueButton is a web conferencing system designed for online learning. One thing that I was missing on it was downloading a recorded presentation. In this blog I show a relatively easy hack for doing it, as well as other available options.

Virtual Computer Lab is a desktop server in the cloud that can be accessed from a browser. It provides remote collaboration for the students of a class and their teacher. Each user can share his desktop with one or more other users and they can work on it collaboratively. The teacher can also use Epoptes to watch what each of the students is doing, to broadcast his screen to all of them, to access the desktop of each of the students for helping them, etc.

[Virtual Computer Lab](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0r_RTMjePI) is a desktop server in the cloud that can be accessed from a browser. It provides remote collaboration for the students of a class and their teacher.
Each user can share his desktop with one or more other users and they can work on it collaboratively. The teacher can also use [Epoptes](https://epoptes.org/) to watch what each of the students is doing, to broadcast his screen to all of them, to access the desktop of each of the students for helping them, etc.
In this workshop we will use a [demo server](https://lab.fs.al/) and will explore the possibilities of what can be done with a Virtual Computer Lab (both from the perspective of the teacher and the perspective of the students).
Submit [this form](https://forms.gle/Li7P2mf2dw7BGHss5) to request an account on the demo server. The password will be sent by email before the event.
