Scenodrama - Associazione Italiana Scenodramma - AIS

Goal: Scenodrama is a group psychotherapy for young autistic, psychotic or hyperactive children, or those suffering from problems of emotional attachment or post-traumatic troubles.
Scenodrama is designed for children of 4 to 8 years with pathologies of the psychic container. The method has been designed to ensure secure containment of the group favouring the process of symbolization.
Scenodrama is also designed for single-parent families with young children, mostly in post-traumatic situations: separation, bereavement, abuse…
Scenodrama was created in the 1990s at the Guillaume Régnier Hospital in Rennes, France, by Brigitte Baron-Préter, who is a clinical psychologist and a group and family analyst. The therapy was first used in outpatient clinics, then in a Medico-Psychological Consultation at the University Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit run by Professor S. Tordjman (previously by Professor Ph. Dardenne).

Community focused scenodrama in primary school: application in school organization of a psychotherapeutic community focused setting based on playing The paper presents the application of the Scenodrama to a class of primary school group. It uses an example-case of taking charge of a child of 8 years through a community focused psychotherapy, for which was activated specific treatment in the young patient class. The presented experience allows the authors to describe the organization of the setting of community focused Scenodrama in the social organizations and the related theory of the technique of community focused therapeutic groups in school, psychodynamic-analytical oriented. Didier Anzieu (1978)

Game of Scenodrama uses a kit of wooden objects with a simple and linear shape, stylized in a two-dimensional way and with primary and very vivid colors, which share with characters designed by Keith Haring, an immediate and festive style and a visual language composed of childish figures such as children, adults, animals, angels, monsters, everyday objects and geometric figures. The iconography of Keith Haring, only apparently childish, conveys simple, clear and immediately intelligible messages concerning topics such as love, happiness, joy, sex and other emotions, always connected to the different social themes of his time.

An introduction to the practice of Scenodrama, a model of group-analytic psychotherapy for young autistic, psychotic, hyperactive children or for those suffering from cognitive, learning and language disorders.
Saturday 29th October 2016, 10:00 – 16:00, Institute of Group Analysis, 1 Daleham Gardens, London
Scenodrama is inspired by a device of the group-analytic psychotherapy through the playful expression invented in England by Anthony for taking charge of kindergartners and known as "technique of little table". Baron-Preter, in the 90's, turned it leaning to her group psychotherapy and psychodramatist practice, as well as the frequency of use of Von Staabs’s scenotest, and fixed at its theory of the French school of group psychoanalysis. This device has been created University Hospital of Psychiatry for the child and adolescent department of Rennes. Then it has been inserted in various centers of health and education for children in France. In Italy, Bruschetta developed a setting for a private practice of group-analytic and family psychotherapy for children and adolescents and for a community-based psychotherapy in Schools for children and in Democratic Therapeutic Communities.

Scenodramma.

The present review deals with the research carried out on relationship – from a theoretical and clinical perspective – between deafness and the Theory of Mind (ToM). Currently, the development of ToM represents an important research field in deafness studies. This paper focuses on the new perspectives for the development of ToM (e.g., conversational hypothesis) and how such perspectives have determined, in a relatively short period of time (about 10 years), a great deal of studies. Different research teams have produced converging evidence on a number of important issues. Moreover, a few key-issues (i.e., effects of language and socialization) concerning the debate about the development of ToM in deaf children were also analyzed.

Associatione Italiana Scenodramma has adopted in its logo an image taken from archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe, to symbolize the depth of the unconscious group dimension from which the rituals in circles and the representations of the animals together with those of men and forces of nature emerge, as in Scenodrama psychotherapeutic groups.

Scenodrama is a group-analytic psychotherapy for young autistic, psychotic, hyperactive children or for those suffering from cognitive, learning and language disorders. This group therapy is particularly adapted for children with problems of emotional attachment or with post-traumatic troubles. Scenodrama groups also are particularly adapted for children with problems of emotional attachment or with post-traumatic troubles, and they are specially designed for children aged 4-10. They are organised around a small round table with delimited collective (water) and/or individual spaces.
Scenodrama has been organized to reinforce a secure containment through and within the group. Its setting favours metaphorization thanks to its containing effect. This also favours metaphorization by the creative use of specific objects given to each child to stage and enact their personal stories. Consequently, it stimulates the process of symbolization, language, communication and socialization.

Scenodrama groups involve young children (aged 4 - 8) suffering from serious semiotic and language disorders. They are organised around a small round table with delimited collective (water) and/or individual spaces. The setting helps developing metaphorical capacities through its containing effects and the diversity of the material given to each child, so that they can stage and enact their personal stories. A specific process may thus unfold; we refer to it “evolutional object/Aesthetic House”. Besides the Scenodrama groups are transitional spaces which permit to manage clinical- institutionally the continuity of links between the primary and secondary networking groups.
