SELF MANAGEMENT:THE PORTRAIT OF A SOCIOECONOMIC AND POLITICAL PHENOMENON AUTO-GESTÃO:RETRATO DE UM FENÔMENO POLÍTICO,ECONÔMICO E SOCIAL
Goal: The present research project will present an omnibus scenario about self-management in the political, economic and social spheres, with the general objective of mapping self-management in the world nowadays. This study aims at identifying how self-management impacts people's power relations, organizations and policies, as well as to verify how self-management has been addressed in the academic community; besides, to investigate the models of participatory management as a social environment and to identify how the technological evolution impacts its functioning (KITCH et al., 2012). To enrich this analysis, some relevant theoretical results which deal with management strategies as well as the relationship between self-management and participation theories will be considered and analyzed. It is a qualitative research which seeks to interpret and attribute significant meanings to the phenomenon of self-management and its related themes (participation, power, influence, strategies). This research was classified as an exploratory study which, in order to better understand self-management, will use as technical methods bibliographical, documentary and case-study research (SILVA; MENEZES, 2005; OLIVEIRA, 2011). The bibliographic research was carried out between December 2017 and May 2018, in available databases on the Portal of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (CAPES), in Proquest and in the Open Directory Journal (DOAJ) and only complete papers were considered. The documentary research will be constructed through the elaboration of a journalistic mapping of publications about self-management within the last 10 years. The case study will be conducted through multiple examples of how self-management works in different situations and countries. The research is in the phase of theoretical review about self-management and related themes, mapping the strategies of participation and self-management, as well as the documentation of related journalistic publications. The next steps of this essay will consider the analysis of the relations between theoretical findings and real cases of self-management collected, with the intention of identifying the impacts of self-management in the political, social and economic realms, specifically under the influence of the recent technological evolution (ROHM, 2018).
