Goal: Protecting wolves of the Bieszczady Mountains National Park (Poland) through citizen science research and conservation. OUTCOME: This first ever expedition ran from 2001-2003, studying wolves in the Bieszczady Mountains National Park. It played an active role in saving wolves from being declared legitimate hunting targets in the area. It also captured and collared the first ever wolf in the Polish Carpathians.
